It is a close race to the finish and Tim Cooper cut Gainer Phay's lead to just 3.5 points. A difference that could be made up by one first place finish. With two tournaments to go, it is going to be exciting to see who wins the coveted prize of free NCC tournament entries for 2008. Here are the standings below:

Welcome to the official blog of the Tennesse Tempo. The Tempo were added to the US Chess League in the 2006, season along with Seattle, as an expansion team. The Tempo matches are held at the Nashville Chess Center every Wednesday night during the season. The 2007 season begins August 29th for the boys from Tennessee and will continue, at least, until Halloween night. Check back here often for updates and interesting blogs from all players on the team!

Tennessee Tempo matches are held in Music City, USA at 2911 Belmont Blvd. Belmont, known for its hip atmosphere and liberal minded attitude, is the perfect setting for one of the countries premier chess teams.
